Timeline Of The Baritone
1790- The Baritone first appeared around 1790's/early 1800's. The baritone was not exactly a baritone at first, it was first invented as a smaller vision with a brass style mouthpiece and valves.
1830- German and Australian brass instrument producers began experimenting with brass instruments that have a tenor and baritone range which led them to then produce the baritone and euphonium to this present-day.
1921- The Baritone was removed from the wind bands and then located in the brass bands.
1927- The British compensating Baritone's were introduced to the United States by Harold Brasch.
1950- The English were the first to perform in ensembles of the low brass instruments.
2005- The baritones were named the "Section Of The Year."
