This instrument is generally composed of brass tubes of varying lengths in which it is a member of the brass family; these brass tubes create the baritone sounds with a timbre somewhere between the brightness of the trombone and the more mellow tone of the euphonium. Generally, low baritone sounds are produced by this horn, the soothing beautiful mellow sound of the baritone is attractive to many audiences, for it was invented for entertainment. The baritone has a unique part in various groups when entertaining an audience. For example the baritone is used heavily in military bands. Additionally, these mellow noises result from the instrument’s primary tuning in the B key, unlike the higher-pitched F key generally found in other horn types. The sounds produced by this instrument start with the vibration throughout the instrument in which is controlled by lip movements that the current player makes on a mouthpiece. Structurally, components that this instrument consists of include the following: slides, valves, a bell opening and a mouthpiece. It's basic body structure is shaped like a cylinder which wraps several times, making the horns overall length appear smaller. Overall, this is one of the most unique brass instruments of all time and I thoroughly encourage to play this amazing brass instrument.
